Latvi helps you learn Latvian. This policy explains what data the Latvi iPhone app uses and why.
What stays on your device
Your course progress, streak, XP, gems, settings and call transcripts are stored on your device only.
What we process on our servers
- An anonymous account. The app creates a random account ID and token. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID.
- Purchases. When you subscribe or buy minutes, the app sends Apple's signed transaction so we can unlock Latvi Plus and track your live-call minutes. We never see your payment details.
- Voice and text for AI features. Live calls, Ciela Lite, speaking exercises, audio and "Explain my mistake" send your voice or text through our server to OpenAI to produce a reply. We don't store your audio or the content of your conversations; we keep only usage totals (for example, minutes used). OpenAI processes this data under its API terms and does not use it to train models.
- Game Center. If you use Compete, your scores are submitted to Apple's Game Center under your Game Center profile.
What we don't do
No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, and we never sell your data.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. To delete your server account and usage records, email privacy@latvi.app.
